About the album
Mynah is a trio from Puglia, in the south of Italy: Antonio De Donno on drums, Gabriele di Franco on electric guitar and Federico Pecoraro on electric bass. INTRO is the album they released on Emme Record Label in March 2016.
Nine tracks between modern jazz, groove and world music: rarefied, suspended atmospheres, the complex rhythms and lyrical melodies of their land, and an ear turned to the north of Europe. Saxophonist Vincenzo Presta joins the trio on Coda and Eleonora. The name says it: the mynah is a bird that can imitate any sound it hears.
